Four members of the notorious Mamelodi gang ‘Boko Haram’ were shot dead in what appears to be an assassination on Friday, May 19, 2023, in South Africa.

According to News24, a South African news outlet, the incident occurred near the intersection of Dinamo and Aphane streets in Mamelodi East.

The four victims were pronounced dead on the spot, and no arrests were made.

Videos purportedly from the shooting site have appeared in some areas of social media, showing bloodied bodies lying across the floor.

Eddie Mnguni, Chairperson of the Mamelodi East CPF, told News24 that the scene resembled a bloodbath.

According to the CPF Chair, the Boko Haram gangs were battling for control of the neighbourhood and the extortion racket.

Members of the gang are being targeted, just as they were in 2021 during the "John Wick" vigilante killings.

Phillip Mnguni, 35, assumed to be the Boko Haram leader at the time, was killed in a hail of gunfire in October 2021 when unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle on the N4 Highway near Diamond Hill Toll Plaza in East Pretoria of South Africa.
