Four persons have died while many suffered various degrees of injuries in a road traffic accident that occurred on Saturday along the Atan-Ijebu Igbo road in Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the fatal crash occurred as a result of overspeeding when a tricycle crossed the road as a car with a Learner sign was accessing the same road.
The eyewitness also said that it was the driver with the learner sign that was overspeeding and could not control the car when it encountered the tricycle.
The crash led both vehicles to fall into a dam situated along the road.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no reactions from the personnel of the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and TRACE.
