Four Passengers Injured In Osun Multiple Accident

Four passengers have sustained injuries as a result of a multiple motor traffic accident which occurred along the Akure-Ilesa expressway on Sunday.

The Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in an announcement by its Spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi stated that the accident which involved two vehicles was caused as a result of wrongful overtaking, speed violation, overloading and loss of control.

She also revealed that the vehicles involved in the crash were a white-coloured HOWO commercial truck with registration number AKD123XV and a while coloured HOWO commercial tanker with registration number T-12339LA.

 

The Osun FRSC spokesperson also stated that five males had been involved in the crash with only one escaping unhurt.

She added that the sum of N27,200 and a Unity Bank ATM card was found in the possession of the accident victims.

She stated that two male passengers trapped in the tanker had been removed and rushed to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa for treatment while the other injured victims were evacuated to Lawrence Hospital, Erin-Ijesa for treatment.
