Four Trinity Varsity Courses Receive NUC Accreditation

Four courses offered by Trinity University, Lagos have received full accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The accreditation of the courses was announced through a statement by the institution.

The statement said that the commission in a letter listed the accreditation of four programmes including B. Sc. Microbiology; B. Sc. Computer Science; and B. Sc. Information Technology in the Faculty of Basic, Medical and Applied Sciences.

It added that Mass Communication in the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences was also accredited.

The accreditations were given after the accreditation exercise carried out by a team of academic and professors from various universities across the country in December 2021.

Full accreditation was given to the four courses by the NUC following the accreditation exercise that was carried out in December 2021 by a team of academics and professors from various universities across the country. They were sent by NUC to assess the quality of teaching, research, and work going on in the institution,” the statement read.

Reacting to the feat, the university's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Ayo expressed his contentment at the process of the exercise.

“The fact that we got this done is a validation of the good work that we are doing as an institution. It is not an easy task for a university that is barely three years old to record such a feat," Ayo said.

He appreciated the team and the staff for their dedication, urging the continuation of the hard work to earn the university a good standing globally.
