He was reportedly brought before the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, and then transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti before being taken to Area F, Ikeja.
Later, he was moved to Abuja for interrogation and detention before he was returned to Lagos on Sunday night to be arraigned at the Yaba Magistrate Court on Monday, November 16.
However, the trial was adjourned to Tuesday, November 17, following a complaint by the magistrate, O. A. Salawu, over the large presence of the media and citizens, who came to witness the proceeding.
The 27-year-old musician and philanthropist was arraigned for criminal incitement, cyberstalking and breach of public peace with the police prosecutor requesting that he be remanded in custody for 30 days pending investigations.
Tunde Jinadu, the defendant’s counsel, maintained that the remand application filed by the Police is a threat to Eromosele’s fundamental human rights. He added that the Police had plenty of time to conclude investigation on the case since the defendant already spent 10 days in custody.
In her ruling, Magistrate Salawu rejected the remand request of the police and granted N1 million bail to Eromosele with the requirement of two sureties.
