FRSC Decorates Over 80 Promoted Officials

FRSC Decorates Over 80 Promoted Officials

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna State Sector Command, on Monday, decorated 86 newly-promoted officers with their new ranks.

FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Zubairu Mato, while decorating the officers, urged them to be more focused, dedicated and show more passion for their job.

Mato described the command as one of the luckiest, as more than 86 officers were promoted to various ranks.

He noted that the officers were promoted on January 6 through a transparent and objective process.

The sector commander said that the promotion of the officers was part of the corps’ drive toward excellence, hard work and diligence, in line with the administrative philosophy of the present FRSC leadership.

He advised those who were not lucky to be promoted to exercise patience, continue to work hard and read regularly.

“Promotion in FRSC is very rigorous. You have to go for physical fitness exercise, computer basic test, regional examination and interview.

“Your annual evaluation will also be scrutinized. All these processes are very tasking and demanding,” he said.

Mato congratulated the newly-promoted officers for their performances during the promotion exercise, noting, however, that every promotion came with responsibilities.

The sector commander also urged them to be more committed to achieving the corporate mission of the corps, which, he said, was to reduce road traffic crashes to the barest minimum in the country.

A NAN report says the officers promoted to new ranks included: 20 Chief Route Commanders (CRCs), 30 Superintendent Route Commanders (SRCs), 17 Route Commanders (RCs) and Deputy Route Commanders (DRCs).

Chief Route Commander, Joseph Attaguba who spoke on behalf of the newly-promoted officers, appreciate FRSC management for finding them worthy for the promotion.

Attaguba, who noted that the promotion came with lots of responsibilities, pledged their dedication and commitment to contributing their own quota toward achieving FRSC’s mandate.
