Fuel Price Hike: Gbajabiamila Meets Osinbajo, Says Strike Action Will Be Averted

Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the House of Representative has said that he is hopeful that the planned strike action of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) will be averted after his meeting with the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Boss Mustapha the Secretary-General of the Federation.

Making this disclosure on his social media page, Gbajabiamila revealed that he had a fruitful discussion with the Vice-President and the SGF.

Gbajabiamila's meeting with Osinbajo and Mustapha came hours after the speaker met the labour leaders at the National Assembly complex.

While no resolution was reached during his meeting with the labour union leaders, Gbajabiamila, however, said that he was hopeful that the strike action scheduled for tomorrow would be averted.

“After my meeting with Labour, I met with the VP and SGF.

“We had fruitful discussions and I am hopeful tomorrow’s strike will be averted,” a tweet by Gbajabiamila read.
