The fuel scarcity situation in Osun State has gone from bad to worse as queues in fuel stations across Osogbo have increased.
Some of the queues AllNews observed have gone to a distance of almost a kilometer in some fuel stations.
Some of the car owners who also vented their frustrations complained that despite all the promises made by the relevant agencies, the fuel scarcity situation has not only resurfaced but lingered on.
Expressing dismay, Fatai Abdullahi, a minibus (Korope) driver in Osogbo disclosed that he has been on the queue since early morning and to his dismay, the queue has not moved.
While wondering what may be the cause of the fuel scarcity that has refused to abate, he blamed the petroleum marketers for engaging in sharp practices.
He also alleged that for the problem to linger till the present moment, the government and its agencies were complicit.
Also, a commercial motorcyclist, Oluwaseyi Adeniyi accused the government of colluding with marketers to divert the product outside the country.
"I may not have evidence of this act but it is common knowledge that the government had a hand in our dilemma in this country.
"If not why should we continually face the problem year in and year out and at a specific time of the year
"This fuel scarcity problem that has resurfaced this year is one too many.
"When NNPC was rebranded and repackaged, we thought the problem will end but the problem is still the same."
