Fuel Scarcity: Tiwa Savage Narrates Challenges Faced Upon Return To Nigeria

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage, shortly after returning to Nigeria, has expressed the challenges she encountered within an hour of being back in the country.

She shared on her Instagram story that one of her car tires had gone flat, while her other car was now in a queue for fuel.

Additionally, she mentioned having issues with electricity in her house.

Frustrated by these problems, she stated her intention to log off and return to where she came from.

“Less than an hour back in naija and one of my car tires gone. Other car now in the queue for fuel. Issue with electricity in my house.

“I’m logging off and going back to where I came from because…” Tiwa Savage wrote.

It is worth noting that the country has been experiencing fuel scarcity following President Bola Tinubu’s announcement to remove fuel subsidy during his inauguration speech on May 29.

Tinubu emphasized that fuel subsidy was no longer sustainable. This announcement had an immediate impact, as fuel scarcity ensued with long queues observed at fuel stations across the country.
