Germany deployed two strikers, Fuellkrug and Timo Werner, and dominated the first half with sharp attacks.
Despite struggling with Peru's high pressing and losing possession at times, Fuellkrug opened the scoring in the 12th minute after Kai Havertz played the ball on with his chest. He then scored his fifth goal in his fifth international appearance, flicking in a superb cross from newcomer Marius Wolf in the 33rd minute.
Substitute Serge Gnabry had a chance to extend Germany's lead but rattled the crossbar with a thundering mid-air volley, while Havertz missed a penalty in the 68th minute.
The victory marks a promising start for Germany as they aim to bounce back from their early exit in last year's World Cup. They will now face Belgium in their next friendly on March 28 in Cologne.
