The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has released the Open Heavens Prayer Points for today Wednesday, 28 October 2020.
AllNews understands that the Open Heavens is a daily devotional guide and prayer points for the RCCG by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the church.

PERSONAL DAILY CONFESSION: I confess today, I am the righteousness of God by faith as Jesus is so am I in this world. I do not live like the foolish because my heart and soul depends on the Lord. He is the author and finisher of my faith, He is my guide at all times. He has given me the desires of my heart according to His will. He is in charge of all situations in and around me because He is God. I will never fall prey of the workers of iniquity because God is for me. I walk and work in His truth and His power supports me each and everyday. He is God all by Himself. Hallelujah!
PRAYER POINTS
Thank You, Father, for creating me in Your image and likeness; please, help me to reflect Your image, particularly of kindness and compassion, in all my relationship with every human being You bring my way.
Father, in anyway I have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus name.
Heavenly Father, I lift up all those who have rejected the truth of Your Word and are seeking after the humanistic ways of the world, bring them back to You, in Jesus’ name
Father, I know that Satan is the father of lies and his great desire is to lead many away from the path of truth in Christ Jesus. I ask Lord, that You would thwart his malicious plans, in Jesus’ name
Father, please use the satanic agenda and the humanistic lies that are hurting so many people, to be the very instrument that will cause many to question the values that they have held dear, and to turn them from their worldly ways and seek the Lord Jesus.
Father, help this generation to seek Your face and to stand in the gap for those that have been swept into the lies of the humanistic agenda, in Jesus’ name
Father, may the truth of Your Word become a beacon of light to those that are in need of a Saviour, in Jesus’ name
Father, may the truth of Your Word ring in the ears of all who are perishing and bring many perishing people to salvation. In Jesus’ name
Holy spirit, fill my existence with Your presence always never let me grieve Your presence in me or blaspheme against You, in Jesus’ name
Father, no matter what the enemy is placing in accusations concerning my household and I let Your mercy prevail over judgement, in Jesus’ name
Father, bless Your son, Pastor E.A.Adeboye, and reveal more of Yourself unto him and his household, as they meditates on Your word, daily, in Jesus’ name.
Father, bless everyone dedicating their time to pray through these prayers & declarations at the point of their needs. Give them the grace to share/rebroadcast, in Jesus’ name.
Father, let every challenge, hindrance and obstacle of getting these prayer points across to Your children, timely, and on daily basis be removed, in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 28 OCTOBER 2020 BIBLE READING MATTHEW 5:13-16
13. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
God has chosen you to positively influence your generation. And God is happy when you are able to carry out this task effectively.
Also, your ability to show many the path of righteousness makes God pleased with His choice.
And when God is happy with any of His children, He’s always quick to make a public declaration to the world.
This He did to Job (Job 1:8), He also did it to Jesus (Matthew 3:17).
Unfortunately, God cannot openly boast of some of His children because they have lost their savour.
Today’s reading compares the believer with salt and light. As salt, you are to sweeten your generation.
You are to add taste to the life of anyone that comes in contact with you because without you, their lives would be bitter.
You can add taste to the lives of people by being peaceful, living a godly life and telling people about Jesus. As salt, your family should prosper.
Potiphar’s house prospered because Joseph, a slave and true salt was in the house. How many lives have you salted?

OPEN HEAVEN 28 OCTOBER 2020 MESSAGE
Today, there are diverse kinds of doctrines. It is not surprising because Jesus had warned that many false prophets would arise in the last days (Matthew 24:24).
Apostle Paul also warned against these false ministers in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 Erroneous doctrines on grace, tithing, same-sex marriage and many more have become common place in Christendom today.
Usually, these false teachings sound very logical and are backed by a wrong interpretation of the Scripture.
However, Christians who have the Holy Spirit in them can discern between sound and false doctrines.
May you not be deceived in the mighty name of Jesus.
It is easy to fall prey to these teachers if you only want to serve God in pleasure and convenience.
Imagine a fornicator who wants to repent, meeting a Pastor who tells him that as long as he only commits the sin once in a while, the grace of God covers him.
Such a Pastor would not mention the fact that in Matthew 5:28, Jesus said:
“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
If such a person is not careful, he might find out too late that all fornicators, whether regular or occasional are going to hell.
Convenience or a semblance of the truth should never be your motivation for adopting a doctrine.
1 Corinthians 14:26 says that the purpose of doctrines is edification. They nourish your spirit man.
Every godly doctrine must align with the word of God and you should be at peace when you practise it, if not, it is not a true doctrine of Christ.
While it is fine to learn from someone else’s perspective on God’s word, stop depending solely on other peoples interpretation.
Read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to interpret His word to you directly.
There is no revelation more impactful than the one you receive first-hand from Christ Himself (1 John 2:27).
