Debris of the collapsed three storey building
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has described the collapsed three storey building in the commercial area of Beirut Road in the State Metropolis as a disaster.
The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna mentioned this when he paid s sympathy visit to the area on Tuesday.
The building collapsed on Tuesday evening, with fears that many are trapped underneath.
While expressing his sympathy, the Governor said an investigation into the cause(s) of the collapse would be investigated.
According to the statement, the Governor also "called on the people to vacate the area of the site in order to allow the rescue team and engineers led by the State Ministry of Works to continue to search and save the victims of the incident."
