Ganduje Inspects 60-Kilometre Road Linking Five LGAs

The Governor visited the site on Sataurday

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has inspected a 60-kilometre road linking some part of the Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state saying it links to five other local governments to Karaye town of Karaye Emirate.

This was made known in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ganduje, Abba Anwar.

The road, which is over 80 per cent at completion stage, is expected to be completed by the end of December 2022.

It links Kumbotso, Rimingado, Gwarzo, Kabo, Tofa and Karaye local governments.

“The state government will put all the necessary effort to see that the project is completed within the stipulated time.

“When we came to start the project we found that there were five bridges, but to make the project more viable we added another two bridges. And all the seven bridges are completed,” Anwar said.

The road is the oldest road linking Kano and other places from the northern axis of the state.

“We are doing such projects to ease transportation of farm produce from our rural areas and to also take development to their doorsteps.”
