Ganduje's Aide Blame Arewa For Killings, Kidnappings In North

Ganduje's Aide Blame Arewa For Killings, Kidnappings In Nort

The media aide to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Yakasai, has blamed the insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria on Northern Group, Arewa following the attack of Boko Haram, which led to the gruesome killing of 43 farmers by the terrorists.

The north has been experiencing an increase in kidnappings and killings of residents by bandits and Boko Haram. Yakasai, who is known on Twitter as Dawisu, said he blamed Arewa for the level of insecurity, as many haven't woken up to reality.

He said when the Northerners wake up, they will take action by defending themselves against what he termed "barbaric attacks". Yakasai said maybe until every Northerner is affected, then action will be taken to stop the attacks

"I blame arewa for tolerating this level of insecurity. By the time each and every household, in each and every state is engulfed in it, perhaps then we will wake up and defend ourselves against this barbaric attacks & kidnappings. Clearly, no end in sight. #ZabarmariMassacre."

Dawisu had been previously suspended by Ganduje for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over police brutality during the EndSARS protest. He had complained of President Buhari's silence to the demand of the protesters - he was later reinstated by Ganduje, who is believed to be a close ally of President Muhammadu Buhari.
