Ganduje Says End To Farmer/Herder Clashes Near In Kano

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said the  government has come up with a holistic plan to end the herder/farmer clashes in the state.

Governor Ganduje disclosed this on the occasion of bawan Nassarawa, an event where the Kano Emir pays a sitting governor Sallah homage.

The Governor who thanked the five Emirates of the state for supporting his administration to tackle insecurity, assured that other plans that would completely rid the state of herder/farmer clash was on on the way.

Ganduje said the state's security committee has been expanded to include the navy, customs, immigration, Federal road safety, Hisbah police, KAROTA, and other security outfits in addition to the soldier and police.

He added that government currently has a complete list of Fulani herders, their spouses, children and animals in a bid to provide for them.

Speaking also, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, called on the people of Kano to remain peaceful, urging them to quickly renew their Permanent Voters' Card to avoid being disenfranchised.

The Royal Father also asked youths in the state to reject all forms of social vices, urging security outfits to double efforts in tackling crime in the state.
