Gas Explosion Kills 5 In Lagos

A gas explosion has killed at least five people, including a child in Lagos.

The reported fire broke out after a cylinder exploded at a gas shop in the Mushin area of Lagos.

The fire destroyed three shops and about 12 vehicles and one of those killed was said to be a driver who was caught by the fire while driving past the scene.

Another casualty is a 10-year-old child who died on the spot due to the fire blast. However, the fire rescue team saved 10 people from the unfortunate incident.

In Lagos, explosions have become are common as one of the most recent incidents was in October 2020 when an explosion at a gas station killed eight people.
