The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has felicitated with Muslims marking the New Islamic Year 1443 AH.
The speaker made this known in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi.
While noting the significance of the new year in the life of every Muslim, he called on all Muslims to rededicate themselves to God.
He also called for unity, saying Nigerian Muslims should continue to be their brothers' keepers.
Gbajabiamila further prayed for a fruitful year full of Allah's blessings and protection for all Nigerians irrespective of religious affiliations.
Adding that, they should imbibe the virtues of the Holy Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him, whom he said is the best example to all Muslims the world over.
