Gen Z Vs Millennials (Gen Y) War On Twitter, Who Won?

Gen Z Vs Millennials (Gen Y) War On Twitter, Who Won?

What a great war to wake up to on a Friday morning. To think that Generation Y (Millenials) and Z picked today to roast each other on Twitter after they teamed up together to fight against police brutality in October 2020 is incomprehensible.

But trust Gen Z to always bring a Bazooka to a knife fight.

First of all, let’s go through the generations.

So far, the six living generations are:

Silent Generation: Those who were born from 1927-1945 belong to this generation.

Baby Boomers: These ones were born between 1946 and 1964. They are the pioneers of Nigeria's independence. The oldest of them should be turning 75 and the youngest 57 in 2021. Call them the 'Gone are the Good Old Days' generation.

Gen X: This set of people are born between 1965 and 1980. They are the ones who call ‘WhatsApp’ ‘Wozp’ and can be held responsible for all those WhatsApp broadcast that takes ages to read. The oldest is turning 56 while the youngest of them is turning 41 in 2021.

Gen Y or Millennials: Born between 1981 and 1994. The 2go and Blackberry generation. They were the ones who used cheat to play ‘Bounce’ on Nokia phones. The oldest of these lots turns 40 in 2021 while the youngest turns 27. Millennials are the children of Baby boomers.

Gen Z: They were born between 1995 and 2015. Call them the ‘Soro Soke’ or ‘Coconut Head’ generation, the keyboard warriors with enough energy to drag anybody on the social media space. They are between the ages of 6 – 26.

Gen Alpha: Born between 2015 – Now. The oldest is just 5 and we don’t know what they are bringing yet. Most members of Generation Alpha are the children of Millennials.

Now that we have gone through that, let’s look at some Twitter bants.
