Nigerian celebrity news blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, has confirmed that Genevieve Nnaji is indeed unwell on her verified Instagram page but has debunked reports that the actress' alleged condition is linked to drugs.
Recall that Instagram blog 'Gistlover' had alleged that Genevieve was admitted to a Texas hospital over a battle with mental illness linked to drug abuse.
Shortly after the rumour was peddled, Genevieve, who had earlier deleted all her Instagram posts, shared a video of herself painting on her Instastory to give fans an update on her health.
Shedding light on the issue via a lengthy Instagram post, Stella Dimokorkus wrote, “Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji needs love and prayers to overcome what she is going through and not breaking news to allege that she is down because of drugs overuse.
"OMG THIS IS SO WRONG…. So if someone is down it automatically means they took drugs?
"Would a real nurse who works in the US where the law works st#pidly come out to confirm such sensitive info riddled with lies instead of protecting by keeping quiet?
"Whoever you are I pray you lose your license to practice any kind of nursing. … It is not everything that is sensational please. .
"Pray for Genevieve to come out of what she is going through and may God forgive those of you who are already slamming her online... DID YOU SEE A DOCTORS REPORT SAYING SHE TOOK DRUGS? Thank you…”
