German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has expressed his support for "limited encroachments" on Russian territory, such as blocking supply routes.

Pistorius believes that in the circumstances of the ongoing war, it is "completely normal for (Ukraine) to move into enemy territory, for example, to block supply routes," as long as no cities, civilians, or civilian areas are targeted.

This stance suggests a more aggressive approach towards Russia than that of the German government, which has largely been supportive of sanctions against Russia but has been cautious about any military intervention.

A survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology published in late February showed that 90% of Ukrainians believed it was necessary to launch strikes on Russian territory.

The survey noted that the biggest support for launching strikes on Russian territory came from the east of Ukraine, which has been the hardest hit by Russian attacks.
