Road Accident (Source: Punch)
Nineteen people, on Thursday, died in a ghastly crash at Bagauda, near Nigeria Law School Campus along Kano – Zaria highway.
Two commercial buses – Toyota Hiace – with registration numbers KBT 152 XA and NSR 275 ZX's head in collision resulted in the accidents.
Confirming the incident, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, in Kano State, Zubairu Mato said the accident involved forty-five passengers.
He said nineteen lost their lives while twenty-six others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Mato said that the injured persons were evacuated to Kura General Hospital for medical attention while the corpses of the deceased were handed over to their relatives at the Bebeji Police Station.
He called on drivers to desist from over taking, speeding and reckless driving.
