Give Tinubu More Votes Than Lagos, Bagudu Appeals To Kebbi V

The Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has begged voters in the state to give the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, more votes than Lagos State would.

The governor noted that the state had supported President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, adding that there was a need to do more for Tinubu.

According to him, "In 2019, Kebbi State gave President Muhammadu Buhari over 581,000 votes, while Lagos State gave him about 580,000 votes.

"That enviable feat should be replicated on Saturday and I humbly trust the people of Kebbi State that they will graciously do so."

This was contained in a statement on Thursday by the spokesperson to the governor, Yahaya Sarki.

According to Yahaya, speaking in Birnin Kebbi, the governor said that electing Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima would bolster the unity and socioeconomic prosperity of the country.

"That will help to attract more dividends of democracy to the North and Kebbi State in particular.

"The last seven and half years have been turbulent globally but Nigeria and Kebbi State have fared better.

"This was all courtesy of the APC-led Federal Government and Kebbi State which should be sustained by massively voting for the party's candidates from top to bottom," Bagudu added.

He further described Tinubu as "a tested and trusted ally and friend of the North."

He said Tinubu played an invaluable role that brought victory to President Buhari in 2015 and 2019 respectively.

He further appealed to the people of Kebbi to give massive votes to Tinubu while maintaining peace.

Bagudu added, "After voting, we should all be patient and guard our votes.

"This is to ensure that our votes really count.

"BVAS have been enhanced, the efficiency and speed of the voting process have improved.

"We should be patient, peaceful and persevering throughout the process."
