Giving Back Is Part Of Enabling Capacity To Develop — Osun

The Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has stated that giving back to society is part of enabling the people to build their capacity to live their lives.

The governor made this known on Tuesday in Ilesa during the give back to the constituents programme organised by Timothy Owoeye, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly.

Oyetola, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi revealed that the development agenda of his administration is focused on building a revitalised economy.

Oyetola also remarked that the intervention of his administration is unprecedented in the history of the state.

While describing Owoeye as a demonstration of the advantage of the commitments of making life better for the citizens, he appreciated Owoeye for using his office to ensure a smooth relationship between the three arms of government.

In his speech, Speaker Owoeye disclosed that he is a strong believer in giving to the people because of his strong belief in empowering self-reliance and relevance.

In his words, he maintained that he was compensating his constituents because of their belief and support for him during his ordeal in 2018 and during the 2019 General Elections.

Speaker Owoeye who assured the beneficiaries of his support at all times beseeched them to extend kindness to their neighbours as it will open doors for them too.

He also appreciated the governor for his good works and assured that the people will reciprocate his gesture come Saturday, July 16, 2022.

In their goodwill messages, the Commissioner for Information, Funke Egbemode, House of Representatives member for Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Lawrence Ayeni, the Deputy Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Simeon Popoola eulogised the Speaker and urged the people to reciprocate the good gesture by ensuring the party is returned to power in 2022.
