GlaxoSmithKline Announces Proposed Dividend For Shareholders

 

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc has announced its proposed dividend for the period ended December 31, 2019. The pharmaceutical company offered N0.55 kobo per 50 kobo ordinary share from the profit for the year. However, the dividend is subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval at the Annual General Meeting.

The statement which was signed by the Company Secretary, Uchenna Uwechia, stated that the AGM will be held at GSK House, 1, Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju, Lagos on July 23, 2020. AllNews gathered through a statement from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc that the Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the close of business on June 22, 2020 will receive the dividend.

The statement revealed that the "Register of Shareholders will be closed from June 23, 2020 to July 2, 2020 (both dates inclusive)." GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc also advised shareholders to visit www.gtlregistrars.com to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form if they are yet to complete the e-dividend registration. Shareholders are to complete and submit to the Registrar, Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions Limited, or their respective Banks.

The dividends will be paid electronically on July 24, 2020 to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at June 22, 2020 and "who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts."

Unclaimed Dividends

In the statement, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc informed shareholders to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar if they have dividend warrants and share certificates "that have remained unclaimed, or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation."
