The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe state has accused senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje of sabotaging the ongoing peace moves with the governor of the state, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The party also said that Goje was looking for an excuse to dump the party for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) citing rejection of the peace process as reason.
The party expressed displeasure over Goje's moves to hamper the peace process lead by the party's national leadership.
The party added that it was disturbing for Goje to accuse the governor of rejecting the reconciliation arrangements.
This was contained in a statement signed by the party's publicity secretary, Ambassador Moses Kyari.
Kyari alleged that some top party officials of the PDP are bent on wooing Goje to their party with his nod.
He further accused Goje of planning to leave the APC while finding a flimsy excuse to do that.
Kyari said Goje had always showcased himself as very important and relevant in the party's affairs while relegating relevance of the party's leadership.
