The Emir of Dukku in Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State, Alhaji Haruna Rashid II, has called on traditional title holders within the Emirate to contribute to the overall development of the Emirate and the state as a whole. 

The Emir made the call during a visit by friends and well-wishers of Dr Bello Maigari (Wakilin Ilimi), the Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Fund, who had come to express their gratitude for the Emir's decision to elevate Wakilin Ilmi to Tafidan Dukku.

The title is one of the highest traditional titles within the Emirate, typically reserved for Princes. 

The Emir assured the new Tafida of the Emirate's support and cooperation in all his future endeavours, urging him to hold the title with great esteem.

Responding, the Tafida expressed his commitment to justify the Emir's faith in him.

He pledged to unite the people and utilize his abilities to the fullest for the development of the Emirate. 

He appreciated the Emir and the Emirate council for considering him worthy of the prestigious title. 

He further emphasized his determination to work tirelessly towards the development of the state, with a particular focus on the Emirate. 

During the ceremony on Sunday, various speakers, including Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Dukku Gado-Da-Masun Dukku and Alhaji Sambo Sa'ad, the Talban Dukku, read the citation of the new Tafida, highlighting his significant contributions to the progress of the Emirate. 

They commended his wealth of experience and dedication in serving various institutions, assuring the gathering that the newly elevated Tafidan Dukku would utilize his expertise to bring further development to the area.
