Gombe Introduces Industrial Construction Policy

The Gombe State Government has introduced an industrial construction policy to attract foreign investors to the state.

The Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Nasir Aliyu made this known at a validation workshop.

The workshop was held at the Gombe International hotel, focusing on the draft industrial policy for Gombe State.

The commissioner said the state government has developed the map with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

He further stated that following provision of ten thousand hectares of land for local industries, there is need for laws to guide the establishment. 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on budget planning and development, Dr. Ishiyaku Muhammad said the State Government is committed to promoting entrepreneurship to promote economic activities.

The validation workshop was attended by representative of UNIDO, Dr. Reuben Bamidele; Professor Yusuf Umar Dantama and Professor Umar from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) and others from various institutions across the country.
