Gombe: Soldier Shot As Fresh Waja, Nyuwar Crisis Leaves Many Injured

Fresh crisis in Nyuwar, a border community between Adamawa and Gombe has resulted in the shooting of an unnamed soldier and left many injured.

The soldier was however rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

While the violent clash had left several houses razed, security operatives were outnumbered by the attackers.

In April, 2021, crisis erupted between the two communities leaving casualties while accusing fingers were on the Waja youths.

Following the attack, people including women, children and the old were forced out of their homes for the sake of safety.

The Gombe State Police Command has not released an official statement as operatives of the police force are restoring bringing calm to the community.
