Goods Destroyed As Fire Ravages Market In Ekiti

Goods worth thousands of naira were on Saturday evening destroyed when fire razed some shops in a market in Ekiti.

The fire burnt down some parts of at the popular Shasha market in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Goods worth thousands of naira were said to have been lost in the incident.

As of the time of this report, the cause of the fire couldn’t be ascertained.

It took the efforts of some shop owners and passersby to put out the fire.

It was further gathered that officers of the Federal Fire Service arrived the scene late.
