Google Officially Discloses Android Auto Fix For Ford Sync 3

The American multinational technology company, Google has officially responded to the FAQ on Ford Sync 3 users' inability to talk or hear when answering incoming calls.

Ford Sync 3 owners have been having difficulties with incoming calls in their cars when operating Andriod Auto on their head units and up to this point, very little official information was available in this regard.

Discussion motif on Google's forums shows that the problem is not experienced by few users but plenty of people are actually struggling with phone calls in their Ford cars. Many of them can’t hear the person at the other end of the line, while others claim not a single word they say can be heard by their contacts.

According to Android Auto Team, Pawan Vijay, the team at Ford is already investigating the whole thing, and while everybody is waiting for a fix, SYNC 3 users can just turn to an easy workaround.

Steps to Auto Fix  Ford Sync 3 inability to talk or hear when answering incoming calls.

  • Connect your phone to Bluetooth
  • On the Sync screen
  • Select the Settings tab
  • Select Phone
  • Select Set Phone Ringtone
  • Select Use Phone Ringtone
  • Connect to Android Auto

Note: The Phone settings menu cannot be accessed while connected to Android Auto, the phone needs to be connected to Bluetooth in order to perform these changes.

Users of Ford Sync 3 should expect an update to be released rather sooner than later since Ford is aware of the problem and is already working on a major fix.

A Ford spokesperson has confirmed that an Android Auto bug-fixing update is scheduled to land soon, with more information to be shared at a later time.
