Google rolls out AI driving summaries, integrates Gemini wit

Google has released AI-powered text summaries for driving scenarios and the integration of Gemini with Messages to it's users on the Android platform.

Gemini, Google's chatbot, is expected to be available to Messages users starting this week without requiring them to exit the messaging service. Only available to English-language Messages users in beta, Gemini can handle a variety of activities, including message composition and event coordination support.

Furthermore, users can converse casually with Gemini, which offers a way to pass the time when they're bored.

Android Auto is also expected to get AI-powered improvements to reduce distractions from incoming texts in an effort to improve driving safety. With the ability to summarise lengthy messages and recommend actions like sharing an ETA, Android Auto now allows drivers to answer with a single tap while keeping their eyes on the road.

Additionally, Google unveiled new accessibility features for Android, including as the Lookout app's AI-generated image descriptions.

For people who are blind or visually challenged, these captions offer descriptions for pictures that can be viewed on the internet or in communications.

This feature is expected  to spread out worldwide, however it is currently only available in English.

Furthermore, an improved screen reader option is now available for Google's Lens function in Maps, which enables users to get audio details about local destinations by just pointing their phone's camera at them.
