Google Search has unveiled an interactive periodic table of elements that includes a 3D model displayed on large screens, while an Assistant “Live Translation” button will appear on mobile when searching for a word or phrase.
The new Search feature was unveiled alongside a few new features in Google Assistant designed to help families, including updates to Family Bell reminders.
Users can locate the search by searching for “periodic table” and clicking the “explore elements” button on the right side of the page or by navigating to it directly right here.
The 3D periodic table comes with a lot of fun by clicking on different elements and learning about things like an element’s atomic mass, melting point and a 3D model of each element will appear on the screen and s brief definition of the scientific element – like Scandium is more abundant on the moon and the sun than on Earth.
Google stated that at the launch of the new Google Assistance last year, they could only play from Nest smart displays or speaker, but in “several weeks,” they’ll be able to ring on mobile devices, too and sometime soon, Family Bell on the Nest Hub will be able to show a checklist when a Family Bell goes off, which could be a useful way to remember a set number of tasks.
Also, the search giant said it will add a new way to set routine after an alarm is turned off in the morning, which will let users check the weather and the news right after sleep.
