Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has been installed as the Asiwaju of Ede land.

Adeleke's installation took place on Monday at the Timi of Ede's palace in Ede.

The star-studded event was witnessed by the governors of Ogun, Oyo, and Lagos states; first-class monarchs; business moguls; and other dignitaries from various walks of life from within and outside the state.

Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, the governor’s hometown traditional ruler, conferred the traditional honour on Adeleke.

The governor succeeded his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who held the position until his death in April 2017.

The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Senator Olalere Oyewumi had on Sunday stated that the decision to confer the Asiwaju title on Adeleke is an acknowledgement and recognition of his contribution to the growth and development of Ede and Osun State at large. https://punchng.com/chieftaincy-title-why-adeleke-was-chosen-as-asiwaju-of-ede-planning-committee-chairman/
