Governor Bagudu Reduces Working Hours For Kebbi State Civil

The Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu has approved the reduction of working hours for state civil servants because of Ramadan.

This was made available in a statement by the acting Head of Service in the state, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena.

The statement which was made available on Wednesday stated that the working hours have been reduced by 1 hour.

Garba-Bena stated that workers are to report to their duty posts from 8:00am to 3:00 pm Mondays to Thursdays.

He added that the closing hours for Friday will be 12noon while maintaining the reporting time of 8:00 am.

NAN reported that Garba-Bena stated that, it was the tradition of the state to reduce the working hours to bring relief to those fasting.

He said, “This gesture by Governor Atiku Bagudu is in line with the established tradition of the state and consideration that the reduced working hour could cushion the effect of fasting on civil servants in this Holy Month of Ramadan."
