The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has welcomed the need for collaboration between his administration and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The governor said the need for partnership and collaboration between his administration and all donor agencies across the globe was necessary.
He said this was considering the importance it holds for the development of the state.
The governor made this known when he received the officials of the USAID Nigeria at the State's Government House on Wednesday.
As contained in a statement by Lawal Muazu Bauchi, New Media aide to the governor on Thursday, he appreciated the organisation for its continuous support to his administration.
He stressed that the state has benefitted so much from different interventions of USAID in the health sector.
He further called for the need to sustain the partnership enjoyed between them for the benefit of the citizens of the state.
Governor Bala said his administration has remained committed to the payment of counterpart funding to all the global organisations.
He explained that the move was to address the challenges in the education, healthcare delivery and nutrition among others.
Speaking earlier, the USAID Team Lead, Micko Mikay, appreciated the governor for the recruitment of manpower in the health sector and providing the needed funds to meet counterpart funds in the healthcare.
