Governor Bello Commiserates With Former Minister Paul Unongo Over Wife's Death

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of  Comfort Unongo, wife of former Minister of Mines and Steel, Wantaregh Paul Unongo.

In a statement signed by Onogwu Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the state government, Governor Bello said Mrs Unongo, aged 54, died at Daisyland Hospital in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Thursday evening.

Governor Bello, however, sent his condolences to the elder statesman, stating that it is quite unfortunate that the sad occurrence is happening two years after the demise of mama Victoria Unongo, another lovely wife of his.

He then prayed that God Almighty will comfort Mr Unongo and the great family that the deceased left behind.

The Governor also join the people and government of Benue State to mourn the demise of Mrs Comfort, who lived for the good of others, supporting her husband in his humanitarian gestures. "May God grant a repose of her soul," he said.
