The executive Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi has taken to his social media page to announce that he has tested negative for COVID-19
The Governor who is also the chairman of Nigeria's Governors Forum(NGF) took to his twitter page on Saturday morning to announce his new COVID-19 status.
Thanking those who stood by him while he was battling the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Fayemi wrote:
“After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative. My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well-wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic. JKF”
Allnews had last week reported that Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The governor who confirmed the development via his official Twitter handle @kfayemi, stating that the confirmation test was his third test.
However, his new test result adds his name to the list of Governors that have tested negative for COVID-19.
On the list is Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Ondo state Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
