Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sacked his entire cabinet members by dissolving the State Executive Council.
According to reports, the dissolution takes effect from Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The development was disclosed in a statement released by Wike's Special Assistant on Media and it was revealed that the governor's Chief of Staff and Senior Special Assistants have also been relieved of their duties.
Governor Wike thanked the members of Rivers State Executive Council for “their service and contribution to the development of the State” and “wished them the best in all their future endeavours.”
He further instructed the former cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective offices.
