Governor Yahaya condoles Gombe NBA chairman over father's de

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has condoled Barrister Benjamin Sati, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) over his father's demise.

The deceased, late ASP Sati Mai Samari (Rtd) died on Tuesday at the age of 70 in Gombe.

In a condolence message, Governor Yahaya described the late retired police officer and community leader as an upright man who left behind a legacy of service, discipline and dedication. 

The governor's condolence message was contained in a statement by his spokesperson, Ismaila Uba Misilli on Wednesday.

According to Misilli, the governor recalled the deceased's outstanding service to the nation, especially when he served with diligence as OC Cooperatives in the Nigerian Police Force.

The governor said: "As the father of the Gombe NBA Chairman, his influence and guidance undoubtedly contributed to Barr. Sati's accomplishments and commitment to justice and the rule of law."

He equally extended his condolences to other members of the Mai Samari family and the Gwandum community in Shongom Local Government Area of the state over the huge loss.

He also prayed Almighty God to "repose the soul of the deceased, and grant those he left behind, the fortitude to bear the great loss."
