Governor Yusuf launches major road projects in Kano

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has on Thursday officially launched the reconstruction and dualization of the 2.6-kilometer Lodge Road to Government House roundabout.

The project is part of the celebrations marking the Governor's one year in office and demonstrates the administration's commitment to enhancing the quality and accessibility of roads in the state.

In addition to the Lodge road project, the Governor also unveiled the first phase of the Wuju-Wuju road spanning 1.2 kilometers and the refurbished Bayero Soli road, complete with an off-ramp linking to the Ado Bayero mall.

According to the Governor, these road constructions are integral components of the Kano State Government's urban renewal program, aimed at facilitating smoother traffic flow and enhancing the state's economic endeavors.

The dualized Wuju-Wuju road project was initially conceived during the second term of Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso in 2023, and the Governor has committed to completing the remaining phases with solar-powered lighting to benefit the local populace.

Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration's dedication to executing developmental projects that directly impact the lives of individuals across all 44 local government areas in the state.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the support and collaboration of the state's residents and appealed for continued cooperation to advance the state's development and prosperity.
