Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano has made a resolute vow to put an end to political violence in the state.

He revealed this when he received the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who paid the traditional homage to the Government House on Friday as part of the “Hawan Nassarawa” activities.

According to him, his administration will fish out perpetrators of political violence.

Yusuf said since his assumption in office barely 10 months ago, his administration had embarked on a massive campaign against political thuggery.

"Our administration is determined to end the political violence that has resulted in loss of lives and destruction of property."

"We have embarked on a massive campaign against political thuggery, resulting in the repentance of over 200 political thugs and phone snatchers,” he said.

He further emphasized the importance of restoring peace and stability in the state.

Earlier the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero lauded the commitment of Gov. Yusuf for providing laudable developmental projects that would uplift the well-being of the general populace.

He urged parents to expedite action in monitoring the whereabouts of their children, to curtail the menace of social vices and political thuggery.
