The health minister, Osagie Ehanire, assures Nigerians that a COVID-19 vaccine will be available to Nigerians in January 2021.
He disclosed this on Wednesday at the 28th Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.
Ehanire stated that a group at the Ministry of Health was working to meet the deadline to ensure that a vaccine suited for Nigerians will be made available.
The meeting had President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently in his hometown in Daura, in attendance, virtually.

Other attendees were the National Security Adviser, Babagana Munguno; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who was represented by Permanent Secretary, Ecological Funds Office, Habiba Lawal; Chief of Staff to the president, Ibrahim Gambari; among other ministers.
