Grammy 2021: Burna Boy Set To Perform

Self-acclaimed African Giant, Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, popularly known as Burna Boy, is set to perform at the pre-show of the long-awaited 63rd Grammy awards scheduled for air in March 14.

Other artistes set to also perform at the event include singer Rufus Wainwright, jazz band Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, pianist Igor Levit, singer Poppy, and Latin electropop musician Lido Pimienta.

AllNews reports that Nigerian superstar Burna Boy's album, 'Twice as Tall' was nominated for Best Global Music Album.

Burna Boy faces stiff competition from Bebel Gilberto and his 'Agora' album and Anoushka Shankar's Loveletters.

The ‘Wonderful’ crooner was nominated in the 2020 best world music album category but lost to Beninese music legend, Angelique Kidjo

The award ceremony was originally slated for January 31st, 2021 at Stapels Center in Los Angeles but was postponed to March due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

The Grammy Attracts an estimated audience of over 18,000 and in recent years, has mostly been held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, The Recording Academy announced that American singer, Jhene Aiko, will take on hosting duties at the Grammy premiere.
