The 63rd annual Grammy Awards didn't disappoint and among the highlights of the events were Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy making history.

Beyonce became the most decorated Grammy Award-winner with a total of 28 while nine-year-old Blue Ivy achieved the feat of becoming the second youngest winner of the prestigious award.  

The black-skinned diva was also the most-nominated artist of the night, having secured nominations in nine categories. She ended up securing four wins (Best Music Video for Brown Skin Girl, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion for Savage, and Best R&B Performance for Black Parade.

In addition to getting a writing credit on her mother's song, Blue Ivy won her first Grammy for Brown Skin Girl music video.

While receiving her award on stage, Beyonce said, "As an artist, I believe it's my job, and all of our jobs, to reflect time and it's been such a beautiful time."

She stated that she created Brown Skin Girl to honour the "beautiful Black Kings and Queens on the world", adding that it was a "magical night".
