Greek rail workers went on strike for a sixth day on Monday to protest safety conditions.
This was following a train crash that killed 57 people last week.
The rail route that connects Athens with Thessaloniki has been suspended pending an investigation into the February 28 disaster.
A strike by rail workers since the crash has brought passenger and freight rail services to a halt.
Railway workers' unions and train drivers have then extended their strike until Wednesday.
Also, the European Union has said it will provide technical support to Greece to help it modernise its railways and improve safety, EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen said on Monday.
