Group Calls For Kyari's Sack

Mere Kyari

A socio-political group under the aegis of Nigerian Citizen Action Group (NCAG) has called for the sacking of Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

The group also said it would not hesitate to mobilise all her affiliates and structures to lead a peaceful protest to NNPC  Headquarters in Abuja to press home their demand.

It also enjoined President Bola Tinubu not to fall for Kyari's antics in oil sector, ignore the lies, do the needful and act before it is too late.

According to a statement signed on behalf of the group by its spokesperson, Salahudeen A. Lukman, the NNPC's immediate implementation of of newly reviewed pump price was a deliberate move to incite Nigerians against the new government.

"This is nothing but a delibrate move to provoke, incite and destroy goodwill of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu among Nigeria Citizens, which must be rejected.

"Today, while Nigerians are still ruminating on the pronouncement of an end to corrupt subsidy regime by our dear President Bola Ahmad Tinubu GCFR, which is long overdue for Removal, our coalition received with shock the first of it kind in recent time,  immediate implementation of newly reviewed PMS pump price by NNPC LTD management team led by  GCEO Mele Kyari.

"It beats our imagination that the same NNPC who rushed to the media, made press release on Tuesday, assuring Nigerians not go engage in any form of panic buying of PMS as the company declared reservation of minimum of 3months Nigerians' consumption on ground.  suddenly wake up again to announce new pump price with immediate effect on Wednesday morning .

"It's so unfortunate that NNPC GCEO allow himself to be used for such a ridiculous plot by the subsidy beneficiaries gang in the oil sector, hoping this failed move will ignite Nigerian will to react negatively and destabilize new administration that just come onboard less than 48 hours.

"As the plot  failed with unprecedented show of understanding and cooperation by Nigerians, couple with the enormous trust and confidence, the citizen repose in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his renewed hope administration, we call on Group Chef Executive Officer of Nigeria National Petroleum Company to resign voluntary on or before 7 working days or be sack, arrested, investegated and prosecuted by the President and commander in chief for conspiracy and delibrate attempt incitement and destabilization of national economic cum security," the statement reads.
