The Yoruba Self Determination Movement (YSDM), led by Professor Banji Akintoye, has called on the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, to collaborate with Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, to combat what they perceive as the common enemy threatening Yoruba land.

In a statement issued by its general secretary, Mr. Moses Abiodun Ojo, on Thursday, the group emphasised the ongoing challenges faced by the Yoruba people, including clashes between herders and farmers, terrorism, and criminal activities in the South-West geopolitical zone.

The YSDM urged both Adams and Igboho, who share similar ideals, to unite in advocating for the liberation of the Yoruba people from these existential threats.

While acknowledging Igboho's longstanding commitment to the Yoruba freedom movement, the group also highlighted Adams' willingness to address insecurity in Yoruba land.

Recognizing the sacrifices made by both individuals, the YSDM emphasized the importance of unity in defending the interests and security of the Yoruba people.

They cautioned against divisive rhetoric that could undermine the collective Yoruba cause and encouraged collaboration between Adams and Igboho for the greater good of Yoruba land.
