The Manager of the Season award shortlist have been released by the Premier League of several managers who have made their mark during the thrilling domestic campaign.

The nominees include Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Roberto De Zerbi, Eddie Howe, Marco Silva, and Unai Emery. However, the omission of Erik ten Hag and Gary O'Neill has left some fans scratching their heads.

Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola, the mastermind behind Manchester City's dominant campaign, is widely regarded as one of the favourites for the award.

With City on course for their third consecutive league title and widely hailed as one of the best teams in Premier League history, Guardiola's tactical brilliance and ability to extract the best from his squad have been instrumental to their success.

Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta, the promising young manager of Arsenal, has also been recognized for his impressive achievements this season.

Despite falling away towards the end, Arteta's Arsenal fought City for much of the campaign and spent the majority of the season at the top of the table. Securing a second-place finish after a fifth-place finish last year showcases Arteta's progress in transforming the Gunners into title contenders.

Robert De Zerbi

Roberto De Zerbi, the astute tactician leading Brighton & Hove Albion, has been acknowledged for his remarkable work at the AMEX Stadium.

Currently sitting in sixth place and on course to secure a Europa League spot, De Zerbi has guided Brighton to surpass expectations and challenge some of the league's elite clubs, with their attractive style of play captivating fans and pundits alike.

Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, has emerged as a strong contender for the award. With Newcastle in the top four for a significant part of the season, Howe's impact on the team's transformation cannot be overlooked.

The Magpies' ambition to secure a historic Champions League spot in the remaining three games is a testament to Howe's impressive management.

Marco Silva

Marco Silva, in his first season back in the Premier League with Fulham, has guided the team to a potential top-half finish. Silva's strategic acumen and ability to create a cohesive unit have allowed Fulham to compete against established teams in the league, surpassing expectations and making their mark.

Unai Emery

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, completes the list of nominees. Emery took charge of a Villa side that appeared to be in serious danger of relegation.

However, his astute leadership and tactical prowess have transformed the team's fortunes, propelling them to eighth place and contention for a European spot.
