Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola has dismissed claims of a comfortable win after his team's 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Despite City's dominant performance in the second half, Guardiola expressed emotional exhaustion and joked that he aged "10 more years today" during a post-match interview.

Guardiola, who previously managed Bayern Munich, laughed off the notion of comfort and stressed that the tie is not over yet, as they face his former team at Allianz Arena for the second leg next Wednesday.

He highlighted the need for two good games to knock out top teams like Bayern and acknowledged the challenge that lies ahead.

"Football is football, a home match in Germany is a home match in Germany, and it will not be over until we're in the shower," Guardiola said, reflecting his deep respect for Bayern as a formidable opponent in Europe.

Despite the impressive result, Guardiola remained cautious, drawing on his experience with Bayern and emphasizing that the tie is far from over.

He acknowledged Bayern's strength as a six-time European champion and urged his team to stay focused and maintain their high level of performance in the second leg.

With City's victory, they took a significant step towards their first-ever Champions League title.

However, Guardiola's post-match statement reflects his understanding of the challenges that lie ahead and his determination to keep his team grounded as they pursue European glory.
