Gubana Attends Funeral Prayer For Late Ex-Chairman Of Fika

The Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Idi Barde Gubana attended the funeral prayer for the former chairman of Fika local government area of the state, Alhaji Adamu Usman Bazam. 

The funeral prayer was led by the chief imam of Gudi Emirate, Imam Ibrahim Mohammad at the Palace of Mai Gudi in Gadaka Town of Fika LGA.

The deputy governor prayed to God to forgive the deceased's shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

He further prayed to Allah to grant the deceased the highest place in paradise, Jannatul Firdaus. 

This was contained in statement signed by the spokesperson to the deputy governor, Hussaini Mai Suleh.

The deceased died aged 69 at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, Damaturu after a protracted illness. 

He is survived by two wives and Nineteen children.

"Late Adamu Bazam a one time elected Chairman of Fika local government was an extremely kind person, simple, and straight forward who always mixed freely with all categories of people around him", the statement reads.

The funeral was also attended by the State's APC Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Gadaka, Secretary to the state government, Alh. Baba Mallan Wali, Commissioners from the Ministry of Home Affairs Information and Culture, Mohammad Lamin and Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Dr Abubakar Garba iliya.

Others were members of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu, Hon. Ishaku Daya and Hon. Saminu Musa Lawan. 

Also in attendance were other top government officials and Special Advisers in the state.
